This picture of my great-grandma is one of many family pictures I have hanging in my formal dining room. It's one of my favorite pictures of her, but it makes me laugh because she was so not the bow-head type! And I doubt she was a pink lover, but it worked well with the picture! Journaling reads: Ethel sent this post card to Ivan while he was in the Navy. She signed it Your Jill which was a common way for a sailors girlfriend to refer to herself. The sailor was Jack ... the girlfriend, Jill. The following was also included on the back: Ethel R. Richards, Age 15 years 9 months, Taken in Dec. 1911 Paper and tag by Holly McCaig. Staples and shabby overlay are from shabbyprincess - Shabby Smiles kit. And the gauze was a free download by Tandika. It was included in her Calypso kit and I re-colored it.
